Email continuity is a disaster mitigation plan for your organization’s mail server. A plan that ensures your business continues to communicate with your customers, vendors, and stakeholders in an event of a disaster, hardware failure, and/or service outage. Business e-mail continuity is defined as the ability to continue to send and receive emails during any primary mail server outage. A plan for your e-mail disaster recovery must be independent to your primary server technology: Exchange Server, Lotus Domino, Groupwise, etc.
